And now there is! The clever folks at Chef'n have developed a simple but effective greens stripper: simply insert
the stem into the appropriate hole and pull it through. It has 4 large-sized holes for greens stems and 4 smaller
holes for stripping woody herbs like oregano, rosemary, thyme and tarragon. The slightly concave shape makes
it easier to hold, and the bottom line is that it WORKS: very well in fact. And very quickly. Here's a picture of a
whole sink full of kale stems that I stripped in about a minute and a half.
This is small, and takes up very little space, it's reasonably priced, and it works beautifully; in short, it is the very
epitome of a Cool Tool! |
